Snowy Start to 2010!

Almost as big as me!
It was brilliant having so much snow over the holidays – I spent loads of time sledging. And then my school was closed last week, so me and my mates had a competition to see who could build the best thing out of snow. I made a snow-version of my cat Maisy, which was almost as tall as me! Look at the photo I took for the blog, and check out her pointy ears!
The snow hasn’t stopped us here in the Higher Futures 4U headquarters though – we’ve been getting ready for a massive training day this Friday, where lots of your teachers will be learning how to do loads of brilliant new HF4U activities with you at school.
Our HF4U administrator started this week as well – she’s called Jen, and she’ll be helping with lots of things around the office and on the website, so you’ll be hearing from her quite often. The Boss will be adding some more info and a photo of Jen to the website soon, so keep checking The Team section to find out more about her.
And talking of new faces, another new member of the HF4U team started work this month – Jon is the new Higher Futures person at Manchester University. He works at Manchester Museum, so if you have a visit there, you’ll get to meet him very soon!
That’s about it from me – I’m going to the Downloads page now because I’ve heard the new Fill the Frame competition is up – this month the title is ‘Snowy Adventures,’ so I’m going to draw my snow-cat! Why not have a go yourself - we’d love to see them here in the office.
Have Fun!
Sam
